JOB DESCRIPTION

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Structural Audits: Lead and supervise structural audits for buildings and infrastructure to assess the integrity, safety, and durability of the structures. Utilize non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to evaluate building conditions. Identify potential risks, defects, and areas requiring repair or maintenance.

  • Project Management: Oversee end-to-end management of structural repair and waterproofing projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Supervision and Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and site supervisors. Ensure proper training and skill development within the technical team. Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress, providing technical guidance when necessary.

  • Client Communication and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, including findings from audits, test results, recommendations for repairs, and maintenance schedules. Communicate technical details to clients in a clear and professional manner. Build and maintain relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing expert advice on structural repairs and solutions.

  • Estimate Preparation and Resource Management: Develop accurate cost estimates for structural repairs, audits, and waterproofing solutions. Ensure efficient use of materials, manpower, and other resources to minimize wastage and optimize project costs.

  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure all audits, inspections, and repairs comply with industry standards, codes, and legal regulations. Stay updated with the latest engineering practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Quality Assurance and Control: Implement quality control processes to ensure the structural soundness of buildings and infrastructure. Conduct regular reviews and audits of ongoing projects to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Innovative Solutions: Identify opportunities for implementing innovative techniques and products in structural audits and repairs. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the structural engineering industry and adopt cutting-edge practices for better service delivery.

  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all projects adhere to health and safety regulations. Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential hazards on-site.
